In an effort to enrich local cultural industries, the federal government has committed to allocating $31 million over two years to the Canada Arts Presentation Fund, with a portion of $800,000 directed toward supporting TOHU, a prominent performing arts theater in Montréal, and the Festival Montréal Complètement Cirque. This substantial investment seeks to bolster the regional arts and culture sector, foster job creation, stimulate tourism, and promote community engagement within the dynamic Montréal arts and culture environment.
