Minister Miller has emphasized the allocation of funds in Budget 2024 to bolster the local performing arts and promote equity across all age groups. In an effort to enrich local cultural industries, the federal government has committed to allocating $31 million over two years to the Canada Arts Presentation Fund, with a portion of $800,000 directed toward supporting TOHU, a prominent performing arts theater in Montréal, and the Festival Montréal Complètement Cirque. This substantial investment seeks to bolster the regional arts and culture sector, foster job creation, stimulate tourism, and promote community engagement within the dynamic Montréal arts and culture environment. Furthermore, Budget 2024 includes provisions for enhancing community safety and well-being, as well as establishing a more equitable tax system, thereby ensuring fairness and prosperity for present and future generations.
